After Stonewall is an institution in and of itself. It’s been the home of LGBT literature since the 1980s. There are only three LBGT bookstores remaining in Canada, which for that matter, makes it a rare and beautiful species in our Bank Street environment.

 

Times have changed, and so has After Stonewall. In addition to literature, the marquee Bank Street bookstore now offers pottery, glassware, woodwork, pewter, fine art and sculpture, in addition to jewellery, silk and leather products for both men and women. Like literature that is crafted by a writer, all the art at After Stonewall is hand crafted by some 50 artists from Ontario and Quebec. With the shop owners on site, you always get a personalized shopping experience, which is especially necessary when shopping for jewellery.
