#HolidayOnBank with James Street Pub at 390 Bank Street
(Because JSP Pints are as Cold as Ottawa Winters are Long)
You know this place, right? It’s the one with the huge patio—the one that’s heated in the off season with lamps and full of “heat” in the summer—from the rising laughter, high fives and cheers as friends gather for some pints and people-watching on what’s gotta be the largest patio in Centretown. Everyone knows where to find the JSP, which makes it such a great place to meet. The beer selection is decent and there’s plenty of pub grub to go with it. Standouts include the huge portion of fish and chips and the deep-fried pickles, which are great for sharing.
There are screens galore here, so if you want to catch the game, here’s the place. There are literally no bad angles. Come spring and summer, it’s patio time. There’s still a view of the screen from the patio, if you’re watching playoffs, or you can take a seat closer toward the sidewalk-side of the patio to catch up with friends and keep a casual eye on the score. Next time you have to meet your friends, just say, “Meet me at JSP!”
James Street Pub is part of historic downtown Bank Street, and accepts Bank Street Gift Cards. Get the card, give the card year-round.
