Tyson Bodnarchuk, an illustrator and former resident of Winnipeg made Montreal his home many years ago. He has been obsessed with drawing cute yet creepy monsters since he was able to pick up a pencil. His style is definitely his own, but his work has always been influenced by amazing people like Jim Henson, Maurice Sendak, Jack Kirby as well as campy science fiction and horror culture. Throw in an infatuation with retro Hanna-Barbera cartoons and you can get a real good idea of where his aesthetic style leans toward.
The last couple of years has been quite busy for Tyson. On top of exhibiting his work all around North America, he has had his work featured in The Montreal Museum Of Fine Art (with the En Masse crew), created large chalk pieces in many shops around his home city and had a large installation featured in three Montreal Metro stations in collaboration with Ford. He still finds time to draw every single day and shares his work on his blog www.creature-features.tumblr.com
