We're Hiring: Clean & Safe Operations Custodian!

Bank Street Business Improvement Area ( BSBIA ) advocates on behalf of approximately 400 member businesses and property owners in and around Bank Street. The district is bounded by Wellington to the North and Catherine to the South.

CORE RESPONSIBILTIES

The Clean & Safe Operations Custodian delivers a safe and clean street public realm experience for all members of the Downtown Bank Street community on an ongoing basis. Interaction with business members for flyer distribution; work in a team environment and good communications skills with municipal operations.

This position reports directly to the Executive Director and the BIA management team.

Role includes: • Litter sweeping; • Poster removal (on street lights), documenting and reporting Bylaw infractions; • Graffiti:, photographing, documenting and preparing police reports; • 311 on-line reporting on public asset repairs/conditions • Prepare monthly report providing data on number of incidents and reports filed; • Specific site maintenance e.g. Private property under the care of the Bank Street BIA • Assisting during Special Events • Warehouse management and inventory control on a biyearly basis. • BIA Office maintenance • Winter maintenance for accessibility matters.

Preparing issues log, tracking and escalating operational issues to the appropriate agency (City, utilities, etc.) and ensuring that all issues are promptly addressed and successfully resolved.

Conduct daily and weekly area inspections and managing the resolution of any issues identified. Maintaining an up-to-date inventory of all BIA fixtures and assets on the street and in storage.

Ensuring the operational installation of all displays, banners and décor are in good condition and reporting all deficiencies.

Ensuring best practice delivery and continual improvement of Clean & Safe Operations services.

Providing ongoing reports and update to the management team on a weekly basis.

Employment

The role of the Clean & Safe Operations Custodian is a permanent part-time role at 30 hours per week at $14/hour. Benefits plan will be available after probationary period.
